The Amazing Race Asia 3 Official Winners

The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 (TARA 3) official winner is best buddies Sam and Vince of Hongkong. They won the race’s cash prize of 100,000 U.S. dollars.

Philippine's Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang, tagged as "dating couple", finished second. While friends Ida and Tania of Malaysia came in third place.



The Amazing Race Asia 3 started with 10 teams—which also include pairs from India, South Korea, and Thailand—but only three teams made it into the finish line.

The race began in Bangkok, Thailand and it ended in Phuket, Thailand. In between, the teams were able to go to Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, India, and Oman.

NUTAM October 2008 TV Ratings: Dyesebel Ruled October's Nationwide TV Ratings

Dyesebel ended its run last October 2008 by being the no. 1 tv series nationwide.

After getting beaten by the Singing Bee last September, Dyesebel grabbed the lead again last October with 33.6% and topped the NUTAM race for Weekday primetime programs. On the daytime race, Wowowee still the no. 1 spot nationwide despite strong showings of GMA afternoon soap operas.

Another TV special ruled the weekend primetime race, this time it’s the grand dream night of Pinoy Dream Academy Little Dreamers. In the weekend daytime race, it’s still Wowowee on top.

Here are the Top 10 weekday and weekend programs for the month of October based on a survey conducted by AGB Nielsen among NUTAM households:

One True Love” Earns P10 Million on Its Opening Day

GMA Films and Regal Entertainment reportedly announced that the movie “One True Love” starring Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and Iza Calzado earned 10 million pesos in gross sales on its opening day.

One True Love was given a "B" grade by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG-13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

It will also be sh0wn in Guam starting November 21 up to December 5. There will also be screenings in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.

Sharon Cuneta is Mad at Anne Curtis

After watching (ho-hum!) both Anne Curtis and Sam Milby's much publicized break-up at the Buzz (on a separate occassion), the love triangle between them and KC Concepcion is now getting hotter, bigger, and more interesting. Why? Because Sharon Cuneta, KC's mega mom, is now part of this brouhaha.


According to showbizjuice.com, Sharon can't contain her anger when she learned that Anne continuous to badmouth KC about stealing her boyfriend Sam. Sharon furiously said, "Huwag niyang idamay and anak ko sa problema niya kay Sam, kung hinde ako ang makakalaban niya.

Kung sakaling ligawan ni Sam ang anak ko, kasalanan ba niya 'yun?!!!"

GQ Magazine 2008 Men of the Year Honorees

GQ magazine has published the list of GQ Men of the Year 2008. The four magazine covers are available on newsstands now and feature President-elect Barack Obama, Mad Men star Jon Hamm, leading man Leonardo DiCaprio and Olympic athlete Michael Phelps.



Michael Phelps, the world's greatest swimmer who won eight gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has been honored as the 'Golden Boy of the Year' by GQ Magazine.

Other notable honorees in different fields include Leonardo DiCaprio "The Leading Man of the Year', James Franco 'Screen Idol of the Year', John Malkovich 'Mad Genius of the Year', Jason Statham 'Action Hero of the Year', and the newly-elected U.S. President Barack Obama 'Game Changer of the Year' award.

The only rose among the thorns is Megan Fox who was bestowed with the 'Obsession of the Year' award.

Diether Ocampo Transfers to GMA-7

Diether Ocampo has jumped ober da bakod from being Kapamilya to being Kapuso. Last Monday night, Diether signed a maximum four-year contract with GMA Network.

Diether is set to do a Koreanovela adaptations. His first project is All About Eve with Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Jean Garcia, Eula Valdez and Richard Gomez.

Before signing up with GMA, Diether very kindly informed his bosses at ABS-CBN, the studio that discovered him and groomed him as member of Star Circle. His last project for ABS-CBN was the just-concluded soap Iisa Pa Lamang with Susan Roces, Gabby Concepcion and Claudine Barretto.

He will also do movies for GMA Films, the network’s sister company, and hosting jobs.

Diether will now join other former homegrown Kapamilya stars who also made the big switch. The list includes Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin, Paolo Contis, Camille Prats, and Heart Evangelista, to name a few.

Heart Evangelista is Philippine TV's New Primetime Queen

The newest fantaserye “Luna Mystika” starring Heart Evangelista and Mark Anthony Fernandez registered the all-time fifth highest pilot rating of 38.9% among GMA series next to Darna’s 47.1%, Encantadia’s 45.9%, Asian Treasures’ 41.8% and Codename: Asero’s 40.1%.

Luna Mystika registered the 3rd highest pilot rating this year, however, its 38.9% rating last Monday night was only good for second place with Gagambino registering its peak rating of 39.3%. Dyesebel still holds the record for the highest pilot rating in 2008 with 44.9% followed by Codename: Asero with 40.1%.

Codename: Asero, on the other hand, wasn’t able to maintain its pilot rating by ending last Friday with a lower than usual 32.5 percent.
